The view from the top is amazing, but be warned that it’s extremely claustrophobic up there! Take a deep breath and calm those nerves.

De torenspits is vaak vernieuwd geweest. Oorspronkelijk was de spits van hout. In 1911 werd de neogotische gietijzeren spits van 1851 vervangen door de huidge stenen spits.

Belfry has three floors and you can go up with elevator from the first floor.Top of it has a very beautiful view of Ghent.On the second floor there was a TV show which explains how the bells are made.

Another belfry, another UNESCO World Heritage site. This 91m belfry served as a bell tower, a fortified watchtower and the place where the documents evidencing the municipal privileges were kept.
